stop: Cambria, California
Cambria is this tiny little beach town towards the very bottom of the Pacific Coast Highway, and a favorite place of mine to visit was always this rocky shore. To this day I'm still not quite sure the name of the landing. Moonstone Beach Park is what I'm going with.
Some of the rocks have hundreds of holes that sometimes look like eerie faces. |
So when you're here it's always exciting because the waves always crash up on the rocks, and you have to be careful to not be in the way of any.
So it probably wasn't the best idea to tell Jon to go so close to the water, because right after he got there, this happened (please enjoy my screams):
He done did got half soaked.
It was probably the best thing that happened during the day, to be honest - even though it gave us quite a scare as it appeared to have endangered the life of his iPhone. (which it didn't, because his phone wasn't water damaged, nor was it the problem... so take that, San Francisco Genius Bar!)
Anyway. Cambria is wonderful and beautiful and we love this park.
Love LOVE it! We took all of you when you were babies to these rocks. The water would splash on us and all you guys would do is lick the salt off your faces. You loved it even as babies!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I just love you two!
