we had these pictures taken at the end of may by the salt river.  we lucked out yet again with non-unbearable weather, and we happened to schedule the pictures right before memorial day so there wasn't as much trash around.

but there were still lots of people there!  and some of them seemed to be very interested in us.  we got a few congratulations from a lot of sweaty half-naked people, and of course some obscene shout-outs from a tubing group that floated by less quickly than would have been ideal.  we especially liked the one guy who kept shouting "he's holding her hand!!" (referring to jon), as if it was the most significant moment or gesture of the whole thing.

but hands down, the stranger of the day award went to this one girl who was with a bunch of her friends, including her boyfriend.  i heard her tell her guy to "take notes" once, but it didn't really seem to register, so she repeated the message but shouted it a little more forcefully: take notes, dammit!!  and all i could think was girrrrrl i feel you, this didn't exactly happen overnight.

of course, stacie and geoff were so fun to work with and we love them!  i can't recommend them enough, and if you need some convincing, here you go:

money shot!!

we give extra bonus points to this one because it also sort of looks like we're in space, no?

right on for the timing of the ripples on this one!

thanks for letting me share, slash, constantly asking me to share some more pictures.  i married a people-pleaser (i mean that entirely to be positive) and he's teaching this self-pleaser that sometimes i should just give the people what they want and it's okay because i won't die or anything!  and this is a blog, and what are blogs for if not pictures?  opinions?!  get out of town, no one wants that!

  1. I love the pics and I LOVE your gown. It's the way I wanted to go, but didn't and still wish I had. I admire you. You two are a gorgeous couple. Very happy for you.
